Sarhadi Electric & Machinery Store supplies commercial kitchen and food-processing equipment from 73 G.B. Road, in Old Delhi's established machinery market. We have watched this market change for close to eight decades, and we are still here.
What 1948 means to us
Present through every change.
The way buyers search for machinery has changed many times over. The need for a reachable, honest counter has not.
"Sarhadi" means "of the frontier". It is a name many families carried from the years around Partition, and it has stayed on this shop through licence-raj India, liberalisation, demonetisation, GST, a pandemic, and now the arrival of online marketplaces. We have survived every one of those changes not because our machines were different from anyone else's on this road, but because people kept coming back, and kept sending others.
This website is a digital front door to that same physical shop. It exists to make the first conversation better, not to replace it with a "buy now" button and disappear after the sale.
