Buyer guides

Ask better questions before you buy.

Commercial machinery becomes easier to compare when the requirement, site and complete quoted scope are clear. Use these guides to prepare a more useful conversation, and see exactly what each machine actually makes.

Guide

Write a requirement that gets a useful quote.

Do not start with "send price". Start with the work the machine must do.

  1. Product: what are you making or processing?
  2. Input: what material enters the machine and in what condition?
  3. Output: what quantity is needed per hour, batch or day?
  4. Finish: what size, texture, cut, mix or pack result is needed?
  5. Site: city, floor, access, space, power, water, drainage and ventilation.
  6. Operating pattern: hours per day, batches and seasonal peak.
  7. Timeline: when must the machine be ready for use?
  8. Scope: ask what is included for freight, fitting, testing, training, warranty and spares.

Core buying guides

Four decisions behind every machine.

These guides are general information. Verify specifications and suitability for the selected machine and application with us directly.

Capacity

Rated output is not your output.

Ask what material, feed condition, operator method and operating period sit behind a capacity claim. Compare batch size, hourly throughput and realistic working hours separately.

  • Input and output unit
  • Continuous or batch operation
  • Changeover and cleaning time
  • Expected real utilization
Power

Confirm the site before the motor.

Check voltage, phase, sanctioned load, socket or isolator, cable route and whether a qualified electrician must prepare the connection.

  • Single or three-phase supply
  • Motor rating and starting load
  • Protection and earthing
  • Who provides connection work
Space

Machine dimensions are only the footprint.

Allow for doors, hoppers, discharge, operator movement, cleaning, ventilation, service access and the path from vehicle to final position.

  • Length, width and operating height
  • Door, stair and lift clearance
  • Loading and discharge space
  • Maintenance access
Scope

Compare delivered responsibility.

A lower machine price can become a higher project cost if accessories, freight, unloading, fitting or site work are missing.

  • Included accessories
  • Taxes and freight basis
  • Installation and testing
  • Warranty, exclusions and spares

Material, moisture, feed size, desired fineness, hourly output, dust concern, product-contact material, screen needs, motor power and whether products change frequently.

Juice or lassi machine: what should I share?

Ingredient, servings or litres per peak hour, manual or electric preference, counter space, power, cleaning interval and whether the machine will be moved or fixed.

Tray dryer: what should I share?

Product, starting and target moisture, batch quantity, temperature range, tray loading, heat source, room ventilation, cleaning needs and any documentation requirement.

Pouch-packing machine: what should I share?

Product characteristics, pack weight or volume, pouch material and size, packs per minute, accuracy expectation, coding requirement, power and how product reaches the machine.

Official scheme resources

Use the source, not a sales promise.

Government support and finance eligibility must be confirmed with the responsible authority and lender.

The PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises scheme has provided financial, technical and business support for eligible micro food-processing enterprises. Rules, windows and eligibility can change, so always check the official source.

Disclaimer: we do not promise scheme eligibility, loan sanction or subsidy approval. Confirm the current position with the official scheme authority and your lender before committing to equipment. We are glad to help you match a quotation to your application once you know the terms.
